Delete your data

Nicoll LTD Co operates Patch Fund. This page explains how to delete your information.

How you delete data depends on whether you use Patch Fund in local-only mode(no sign-in) or with household sync (signed in with Apple or Google).

Local-only mode (no account)

If you have not signed in to Patch Fund, your allowance data is stored only on your device.

To delete it:

  1. Delete individual children, entries, or weeks inside the app, or
  2. Remove the app from your iPhone (Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Patch Fund → Delete App), or
  3. Offload or delete app data through iOS storage settings.

We do not have access to local-only data and cannot delete it for you. Uninstalling the app removes the data from that device.

Household sync (signed in)

If you signed in with Apple or Google, your profile and household membership are stored in our cloud backend. You can delete individual children, entries, and week summaries inside the app, but that does not delete your account.

Request account deletion

To delete your cloud account and personal data, email us:

Email deletion request

Send from the email address associated with your Apple or Google account if possible. Include:

  • The sign-in method you use (Apple or Google)
  • The email address tied to that account, if known
  • Your household invite code, if you have one
  • Any other details that help us locate your account

What we delete

When we process a valid account deletion request, we will delete:

  • Your authentication account
  • Your profile (display name)
  • Your household membership association

What may remain

  • Shared household data — If other parents remain in your household, shared children, entries, and week history may be retained for them. Your display name on past entries may appear as a historical record until those entries are removed.
  • Households you solely own — If you are the only member and owner of a household, we will delete the household and its associated allowance data along with your account, unless you ask us to transfer ownership first.
  • Backups and logs — Residual copies in encrypted backups or security logs may persist for a limited period before automatic removal.

Timeline

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. We may contact you to confirm your identity before processing a request.

Sign out without deleting

Signing out from Household → Sign out ends your session on the device but does not delete your cloud account or household data. Use the email request above for full account deletion.
