By downloading, accessing, or using Patch Fund, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or this website.
About Patch Fund
Patch Fund is a parent-facing tool for tracking weekly allowance and related entries. It is not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution. Balances shown in the app are for informational and household record-keeping purposes only.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Patch Fund. The app is intended for parents or legal guardians. You are responsible for any information you enter about children in your household.
Accounts and household sync
- Household sync requires signing in with Apple or Google. Each provider creates a separate account; we do not link accounts across providers.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and sign-in credentials.
- When you join a household, other members of that household may see shared allowance data according to the app's design.
- You may sign out at any time. To delete cloud account data, follow the instructions on our Delete your data page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Patch Fund for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user's account or household without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the app, servers, or networks
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
- Misrepresent your identity or relationship to a household
Local-only mode
If you use Patch Fund without signing in, your data is stored on your device. We are not responsible for loss of local data due to device failure, app deletion, or operating system actions. You are responsible for backing up your device if you rely on local-only data.
Third-party services
Patch Fund integrates with third-party services such as Apple Sign In, Google Sign-In, Supabase, and optionally OpenAI for Siri phrase parsing. Your use of those features is also subject to the applicable third-party terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
Intellectual property
Patch Fund, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Nicoll LTD Co or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial household purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
PATCH FUND IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NICOLL LTD CO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF PATCH FUND, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR PATCH FUND WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nicoll LTD Co from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of Patch Fund, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Patch Fund at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons. You may stop using the app at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be effective when posted unless otherwise stated. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Nicoll LTD Co is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or Patch Fund will be resolved in the courts located in that state, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
